6th AGM of Bankers' Welfare Association Bangladesh (BWAB) was held on 24/06/2022 (Friday) successfully. The AGM function was presided over by Kazi Md. Shafiqur Rahman (Former MD, Mutual Trust Bank Limited), and the President, Bankers’ Welfare Association Bangladesh (BWAB). 5th Annual General Meeting of BWAB

5th AGM of Bankers’ Welfare Association Bangladesh (BWAB) was held on 06/03/2021 Saturday Time: 11-30 AM at a Local Restaurant Hall of Banani, Dhaka City.
The AGM function was organized online under Zoom Platform and also LIVE on BWAB Facebook.
The AGM function was presided over by Kazi Md. Shafiqur Rahman (Former MD, Mutual Trust Bank Limited), and the President, Bankers’ Welfare Association Bangladesh (BWAB). The distinguished Advisors of BWAB Mr. Mohammed Hossain, Former Managing Director, Sonali Bank and Mr. Mohammed Lakiotullah, Vice Chairman, Board of Directors, Hajj Finance Company Ltd. were present.
At the outset after recitation from the Holy Quran, deep condolence was expressed and doa offered at the sad demise of BWAB Honorable Advisor Khondkar Ibrahim Khaled, Former Deputy Governor, Bangladesh Bank. Remarkable steps taken by BWAB during Covid-19 pandemic situation towards cause and welfare of banking community of the country was highlighted by the President, BWAB. All the BWAB members were also requested to work with sincerity and dedication in own institution as well as for the welfare of BWAB.

BWAB Research & Development (R&D) Center

Research & Development (R&D) Center has been established at Bankers' Welfare Association Bangladesh (BWAB) with a view to undertake research work on banking and financial sectors of the country, publish newsletter, magazine or periodicals through R&D Center. The center will work to collect all important circular issued by Bangladesh Bank, decision made by the Banking Division, Finance Ministry, circular/guideline related to banking from NBR, Security Exchange Commission, Export Promotion Bureau and like all. Research work will include different positive activities of Banks & NBFIs. Collect opinion/suggestion of customers/clients, opinion of bankers in providing services to clients. Bank officials will have the liberty to send articles/write up relating to banking topic for publication by the BWAB R&D Center. The center when feels will put in analysis on overall activities of banking in the country and so on.
